Welcome to Mount Vernon Plantation...

Located in Saint Martin, Mount Vernon Plantation is a two-acre paradise of tropical vegetation in a colonial setting. Visit this magnificent scenery in which you will find cotton, coffee, manioc, tobacco, corn, and sugar cane plantations, as well as various gardens of spices. You will discover the secrets of rum making, coffee brewing and the origins of indigo. Go on a fabulous trip through the past away from modern day stress and be part of a world that brings back memories of an old fashioned way of life made up of the knowledge and savoir-faire of our ancients.
 


The Coffee Museum

The coffee museum awaits you with all its flavours and aromas…From the coffee trees to the brewing, roasting and grinding processes, you will become an expert! Also, included in this tour, savour and appreciate a delicious “petit café” gracefully offered by the house.

 


The Sugar and Rum Museum

Enter this little colonial house and discover a unique collection of rum bottles from around the world as well as an exhibition of ancient Caribbean rum labels. Also displayed are a variety of objects dating back to the fabulous history of sugar cane and rum making, which is an essential part in the culture of the Antilles.

 


A Traditional Souvenir Shop

The Mount Vernon Plantation souvenir shop is unique in providing a variety of traditionally handcrafted objects and numerous local products. You will find coffee, rum, jams made from local exotic fruits, and spices all coming from Mount Vernon Plantation.
